Farizon SV is the latest van to hit UK shores

February 17, 2025

The first models of the brand new Farizon SV electric van have arrived in the UK.

Importer Jameel Motors Farizon Auto has announced that the initial shipment docked in Felixstowe, bringing with it two of the eight variants planned for the UK market.

Sales for the electric van are expected to begin in Q1 2025, with customer deliveries in Q2 2025, and an extensive test drive programme currently under way.

Farizon is a subsidiary of Chinese automotive giant Geely Holding Group, and operates China's largest new energy commercial vehicle research institute.

Using Geely's passenger vehicle technology, Farizon develops green, intelligent commercial vehicles with "methanol-hydrogen" and electric technology. It is also China's first brand offering a full range of new energy commercial vehicles.

Farizon has doubled its market share for three years, exceeding 20%, and recently reached 300,000 unit sales.

Farizon SV line-up

The new line-up of panel vans coming to the UK will range in dimensions from the compact L1H1 to the larger L3H3.

Battery options include 67 kWh and 83 kWh LFP batteries for the L1 and L2 variants, and either an 83kWh LFP or a 106 kWh NMC battery for the L3 H3.

Drivers can expect a combined WLTP range of 177 to 247 miles, with urban ranges reaching up to 342 miles.

UK-based testing is currently underway to verify these figures.

Payload capacity reaches up to 1,390 kg, with a maximum load volume of 13m3. The company anticipates strong demand for the L1 H1 and L2 H2 models with the 83 kWh battery.

The Farizon SV is designed specifically for the European market and has already earned a Platinum safety award from Euro NCAP, scoring 85 points.

This achievement positions it as a leading choice for safety and reliability among large vans in the UK and makes Farizon the highest-rated Chinese electric commercial vehicle brand in Euro NCAP rankings.

The vans have undergone rigorous testing, exceeding one million miles, and meet all relevant European standards for durability, safety, and sustainability.

“Landing the first UK-spec vans at the port sends a strong message to UK retailers and customers: we mean business,” said Tom Carney, Managing Director, Jameel Motors Farizon Auto.

“We introduced ourselves and our plans for the Farizon SV last month, and we’re on track to meet our ambitious timelines. The team is already meeting customers, retailers and partners as we prepare for the start of sales in the coming weeks, bringing an exciting new proposition to the UK van market.”

First UK drives of the Farizon SV are scheduled for late February. UK specifications and pricing details will be released soon.
