Isuzu UK has launched a 0% APR finance offer on the new D-Max EV, while reassuring business buyers that HMRC’s recent clarification has brought “zero change” to the VAT treatment of its pick-up range.

Available on orders placed before 30 September 2026, the finance deal applies to the brand new all-electric D-Max EV. There's a catch though. It requires a 50% deposit, which equates to a massive £30k for the entry-level D-Max eDL40.

Buyers will then have to pay 36 monthly interest-free instalments on a Hire Purchase agreement.

Alongside the offer, Isuzu has confirmed that VAT-registered businesses can continue to reclaim 100% of the VAT on all D-Max models, including double cab and extended cab pick-ups, following HMRC’s clarification earlier this month.

The manufacturer has also highlighted that Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) remains unchanged despite recent Benefit-in-Kind reforms affecting double-cab pick-ups.

Both diesel and electric D-Max models continue to attract the standard commercial vehicle VED rate of £360 per year.

Alan Able, MD of Isuzu UK, said: “This month’s clarification by HMRC is extremely important for many businesses and industries. Questions around how HMRC views double and extended cab pick-ups for the purpose of reclaiming VAT has caused some uncertainty. We confirm the full range of Isuzu D-Max in all cab layouts, both Electric Vehicle and ICE models, qualify for 100% reclaim of VAT by VAT-registered businesses.”

All Isuzu D-Max models continue to qualify as commercial vehicles thanks to their payload of more than one tonne.

Every version also offers a 3,500kg towing capacity and selectable four-wheel drive, while buyers benefit from a five-year/125,000-mile warranty, five years of roadside assistance and a 12-year anti-corrosion warranty.
