The Eagles’ Hotel California has been named the UK’s favourite road-trip song in a survey commissioned by Isuzu UK.
A poll of 2,000 UK drivers put the 1977 track at the top of the road-trip playlist, chosen by 27% of respondents. Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA followed on 24%, with Miley Cyrus’ Flowers selected by 22%.
Queen, Oasis and ABBA also featured among the songs drivers said they wanted on the stereo when heading out on a long journey.
The research was commissioned by Isuzu, giving the pick-up manufacturer a fairly good excuse to photograph a D-Max on a road trip while asking the nation what it listens to behind the wheel.
Music remains a major part of longer journeys for many drivers, although tastes unsurprisingly vary considerably by age and region. The survey suggests enduring rock and pop tracks continue to dominate over newer releases when drivers are choosing music for the open road.
Isuzu’s D-Max is the company’s sole passenger and commercial vehicle range in the UK, offered in a variety of single-, extended- and double-cab specifications aimed at both working and lifestyle users.
