KGM Rexton Commercial dimensions

Converted passenger cars for the KGM branded vehicles used to be really common but they went missing for a while.

When SsangYong rebranded to KGM the pretty extensive commercial vehicle line-up sort of lost its way, but the Rexton Commercial was always a firm favourite. The large SUV has a practical sized rear making it an ideal vehicle to convert as an N1 commercial vehicle.

The KGM Rexton Commercial has undergone another upgrade with new trim levels and better equipment, but we'll focus on the Rexton Commercial dimensions.

Rexton Commercial dimensions overview

The KGM Rexton Commercial comes in just one size. The Rexton Commercial is 4.85m long, 1.8m high and 1.96m wide.

That puts it in the medium to large segment of the SUV market, but also puts it at around the size of a small wheelbase, medium van. ]

Of course it's no where near as practical as a medium-sized van, but what the Rexton Commercial lacks in space it makes up for in other areas. With a selectable four-wheel-drive system, think of it more as an alternative to a pick-up truck.

Rexton Commercial external dimensions

As mentioned above, the Rexton Commercial is similar in size to a medium-size van.

It's based on a chassis with a wheelbase length of 2865mm.

Rexton Commercial cargo area dimensions

Load capacity isn't the biggest in the Rexton Commercial, but that said, it's a lot bigger than converted cars of old like the Ford Fiesta Van.

The total volume of the Rexton Commercial loadspace interior equates to 2.2m³ or 2,250 litres. That's around two thirds of the volume you'd get in a traditional small van like a Volkswagen Caddy, but nearly three times the space you'd find in a Fiesta Van.

Total loadspace length is 1.9m or 1,900mm which is more than you'd find in most city vans, but there's a lot less height and less width as well.

Cabin space and dimensions

Upfront in the cabin of the Rexton Commercial there's a lot of room for both the driver and a passenger.

Unlike in most vans of this size, there's just two seats, which means there is plenty of space to stretch out. Most notably, there's 875mm between the two occupants.

Shoulder room is said to be 1.5m, with maginally less 1.48m for your hips. There's also more than 1m of headroom and 1m of legroom as well.
