The seven-seat Kia PV5 Passenger has become eligible for the UK Government’s Electric Car Grant, cutting £1,500 from the price of every version in the range.

The grant applies to Essential, Plus and Elite grades, bringing the entry-level PV5 Passenger 7-seat Essential down to £35,495 on the road.

Kia’s electric people carrier uses a 2-2-3 seating layout across three rows and has sliding doors on both sides. A 399mm step-in height is designed to make access easier, while luggage capacity ranges from 350 litres with all seven seats in use to 3,430 litres with the second and third rows folded.

UK versions of the seven-seat PV5 are sold exclusively with the 71.2kWh Long Range battery. Kia quotes a WLTP combined range of up to 246 miles, with DC charging at up to 150kW allowing a 10-80% charge in under 30 minutes.

The latest grant approval adds the PV5 Passenger to Kia’s growing list of Electric Car Grant-eligible models, alongside the EV2, EV3 and EV4.
