ID Buzz range gets two brand new entry-level models

August 20, 2024

Volkswagen will add to its range of ID Buzz models with the introduction of a new entry-level model.

New ID Buzz Pure and ID Buzz Freestyle models will become the starting point in the range with a starting prices of less than €50,000.

The two new trims will sit alongside the recently release ID Buzz GTX (available in short- and long-wheelbase formats) as well as the Volkswagen ID Buzz Cargo panel van which is now available with a 4Motion all-wheel-drive system as well rear-wheel-drive.

Pure and Freestyle models get a new 59kWh battery with a claimed range of up to 330km,  and are powered by a 125kW rear-mounted electric motor.

The new variants will get their official unveiling at the IAA Hannover motor show in September but order books will open from 3 September.

Presales of the new ID Buzz GTX and the ID Buzz Cargo 4MOTION start today.

Base price for the ID Buzz Pure will be €54,127 while the Freestyle start at €49,998 for the German market. UK prices will be released later in the year, but don’t be surprised if it’s a near 1:1 conversion between Euros and Pounds.

Freestyle models get black decals in the lower door area, dark-grained bumpers and 18-inch wheels with silver covers. The standard colour for the Freestyle will be Candy White.

Pure models will have automatic air conditioning, folding tables on the backrests of the front seats as well as LED headlights.
