Ineos Automotive is to launch a new pick-up version of its Grenadier 4x4 called the Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster.
The new pick-up truck will be making its debut at this month’s Goodwood Festival of Speed where it will be shown as a double-cab pick-up. The new Grenadier Quatermaster will make its global debut on the 13th July at the show.
The new pick-up truck will then take to the famous Goodwood hillclimb where Ineos says it will be accompanied by some familiar Goodwood faces to celebrate the two 75-year anniversaries of motorsport at Goodwood and the Belstaff Trialmaster Jacket – a name which is also applied to one of the Ineos Grenadier’s trims. Belstaff is owned by Ineos and has featured heavily in the launch of the Grenadier.
There will also be the first ever public appearance of the Grenadier Hydrogen Fuel Cell (FCEV) technology demonstrator. The concept will show how well-suited the use of hydrogen as a zero emissions technology is for a future long-range 4X4 off-roader.
Making their appearance at the First Glance Paddock, the Grenadier Quartermaster and FCEV Demonstrator will then be driven up the hillclimb route on each of the four days of the Festival.
Visitors to the Festival of Speed will also be able to get behind the wheel of the Grenadier Station Wagon. The 4x4 will be available to drive on a challenging off-road course at the Goodwood Halnaker Chalkpit, a site that is neighbouring the main event. Ineos has hundreds of slots available throughout Festival for anyone wanting to put the 4X4 to the test.
The launch of a new pick-up truck into the segment will help bolster competition amongst the likes of the Ford Ranger, Volkswagen Amarok, Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max.
Ineos has also announced that it is to continue its partnership with The Game Fair as the official 4x4 partner of the event. Visitors to any of the remaining events will be able to test drive the Grenadier.
