Isuzu has added a new accessory pack to the D-Max range adding secure storage suitable for firearms.
The Isuzu D-Max Huntsman gets their Huntsman accessory pack which includes a Gearmate draw system that runs the length of the load bed and an Aeroklas Canopy.
Isuzu says the new pack has been tailored specifically for forestry maintenance professionals, gamekeepers, and other countryside pursuits.
The first Huntsman model was introduced in 2012 on the first-generation D-Max, but the new version has been updated with a higher level of equipment. As well as the secure drawer system, ideally suited for keeping rifles and ammunition, there’s a Brink towbar with 13-pin electrics, custom black side steps and 18-inch alloy wheels with General Grabber All-Terrain tyres. The inside gets a 3D mat set, to help scrape mucky boots and to make the rear tailgate is assisted to make it easier to open and close.
The Huntsman is based on the V-Cross model of the D-Max range, which means its gets the top level of equipment. There’s a 9-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless mirroring, as well as an eight-speaker sound system.
For serious off-roading, the Huntsman gets the new Rough Terrain Mode that allows the driver to select the surface they are driving on, with the four-wheel-drive system adapted to cope with the traction demands.
Like all D-Max pick-up trucks it get a 3.5-tonne towing capacity and over a tonne payload.
Launched in a special Techno Grey colour – a paint option created specifically for the Huntsman relaunch – and a demonstration of the customisation offering available from the Isuzu Conversion Centre, the accessory pack is now available to order.
It comes in two variations with a window and windowless Aeroklas canopy.
The Aeroklas Commercial Canopy with no side windows is priced at £7,871.46 (ex VAT) which included fitting, while the Aeroklas Leisure Canopy with side windows is fractionally more at £7,956.46.
