Iveco launches RHD version of Daily 4x4 Trigotto

June 23, 2023

Iveco has confirmed that its Iveco Daily 4x4 Trigotto will now be offered in right-hand drive. Initially revealed at the IAA 2022 in Hannover, the Tigrotto 4x4 Daily stole the show with its retro but rugged looks. However, UK buyers were left disappointed when it was revealed that the model would only be available as a left-hand drive vehicle. Due to the positive reaction from the IAA it has now be decided that a special edition van will be offered in right-hand drive.

The original 1957 Tigrotto was designed for heavy-duty work and over its 15 year life saw many different variations created. The new Tigrotto Daily is based on the Daily 4x4 and can be ordered as a chassis cab. This will allow body builders to get creative with the platform cab and create all manner of iterations.

Available in both on and off-road specifications, it is equipped with a 3.0-litre 180 hp diesel engine and an 8-speed Hi-Matic automatic gearbox. The truck-based chassis allows for a maximum payload of up to 4,165kg and body lengths of up to 4.5m.

Designed to handle challenging terrains, the Iveco Daily 4x4 Tigrotto features all-wheel drive, three locking differentials, and low-speed gearbox ratios to maximize traction. It also includes an advanced Electronic Stability Programme to prevent wheel-slip. With an increased ride height and excellent approach and departure angles, it offers impressive off-road capabilities.

The Tigrotto stands out with its unique two-tone bodywork and red elements, reminiscent of the original model from the 1950s. The iconic badging and retro-inspired wheels, along with rounded spotlights, give it a classic and functional appearance.

Inside the cabin, the Tigrotto offers a vintage-inspired dashboard with contrasting shades and a Tigrotto logo. Specially branded floormats are also exclusive to this special edition model, adding to its unique character.

While the Daily 4x4 Tigrotto is well-suited for recreational purposes, it also appeals to the motorhome and leisure market, thanks to its enhanced design and capabilities.

Iveco UK Light Business-line Director, Mike Cutts said: “We are excited to bring this distinctive vehicle to the right-hand drive market after its enthusiastic reception at the IAA. In addition to looking the part, the Tigrotto retains the impressive all-terrain dynamics of the IVECO Daily 4x4.”
