Some crazy Aussies from down under have built a one-off special Grenadier Quartermaster called the ‘Kaiju Quartermaster’.
Ineos Automotive Australia says the name is a mythical ‘giant creature’ or ‘monster’ in Japanese and was chosen “to convey the powerful capabilities of the Grenadier”.
The all-black Kaiju Quartermaster is based on the Quartermaster Cab Chassis pick-up truck and has been built in partnership with some of Australia’s best and most well-known accessory suppliers, including Norweld, Rhino-Rack, Brown Davis, REDARC, JMACX, GME, BF Goodrich, MAXTRAX, and STEDI.
The Kaiju Quartermaster is said to epitomises an iconic heavily modified Aussie 4x4 overlander with some seriously premium kit which includes a Norweld Elite Tray and Compact Deluxe Lite Canopy that uses a gutter system and rubber seals to ensure dust and water stay out.
It also gets a Brown Davis long-range fuel tank which adds a total of 168 litres on top of the factory 90-litre tank – that’s definitely a good thing if our experience of the Ineos Grenadier Commercial is anything to go by as it’s quite a thirsty beast.
Other equipment includes REDARC’s range of RS3 Pure Sine Wave Inverters, Alpha150 150A lithium battery and Manager Alpha50, to give the Kaiju Quartermaster a complete battery management system proper off-grid energy needs in the Outback.

Back-up, in the form of warranty cover, is also provided as INEOS Automotive extends the vehicle’s warranty to cover select aftermarket components from official accessories suppliers when they are ordered through retailers.
Sadly there are no plans to make the Kaiju an official model, but the Kaiju Quartermaster will be used across events and for promotional purposes in Australia over the next few months.
