KGM confirms launch of new Rexton Commercial

April 25, 2025

KGM Motors UK is launching a new version of its Rexton SUV as a van.

The KGM Rexton Commercial is based on the existing Rexton passenger SUV but has undergone an N1 conversion to transform it into a light commercial vehicle.

As a result the large Rexton car is transformed into a sizeable van, giving the Rexton Commercial a 2.2m3 load area with space enough for several standard Euro pallets.

Payload capacity is 750kg and the Rexton Commercial gets a towing capacity of up to 3,500kg for a braked trailer. Access to the cargo space is via a powered top-hinged tailgate, and it retains the use of the side doors.

The conversion includes a full-height fixed mesh bulkhead and opaque reinforced rear windows. The load area is carpeted, with a rubber mat available as an option.

Power comes from a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine, producing 202PS and 441Nm of torque. It's paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission and uses a selectable four-wheel drive system.

Built on a ladder chassis, the Rexton Commercial isn't too far removed from a pick-up truck in it's capabilities. The passenger car is a popular tow car for caravans, and as a result the commercial van gets Trailer Sway Control as standard.

On the inside the Rexton Commercial gets a similar high specification interior to the passenger cars.

The entry-level K30 model has LED lights, heated and ventilated faux leather seats, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with DAB radio. There's also wireless smartphone connectivity, a six-speaker audio system and a rear-view camera.

Higher trim levels, K40 and K50, get Nappa leather, additional safety features like blind spot detection, and there's 20-inch alloy wheels, rear air conditioning and a sunroof on the top-spec K50.

As a type-approved commercial vehicle, the Rexton Commercial qualifies for commercial vehicle Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) taxation, VAT qualification, and capital write-down allowances.

Prices start from £34,995 for the K30 tim, rising to £38995 for the K50. A five-year, 100,000 mile warranty is also included as standard.

The KGM Rexton Commercial will make its debut next week the the CV Show, in Birmingham.
