Kia has revealed the passenger-carrying version of its new PV7 van, with nine seats for most markets but as many as 11 in Korea.
The new Kia PV7 Passenger made its debut alongside the Cargo model at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover and will arrive in Europe during the second half of 2027.
Designed for everything from shuttle and rental work to tourism, crew transport and private use, the PV7 Passenger combines the PV7's dedicated electric platform with a highly configurable rear cabin.
Globally, the PV7 Passenger will accommodate up to nine people, although an 11-seat version will also be available in Kia's home market of Korea.
Several seating configurations will be offered with a seven-seat model that uses what Kia calls Long-Rail Easy Remove Seats. These allow the seating arrangement to be altered according to how much passenger or luggage space is required.
The nine-seater can also be specified with or without a fourth row, allowing operators to choose a configuration that better suits their intended work.
Preliminary specifications for the Passenger Long put overall length at 5,350mm.
It's 1,995mm wide and 1,990mm tall, with a 3,500mm wheelbase.

Compact and Long Passenger versions are planned as Kia expands the range after launch. The dedicated E-GMP.S electric platform also provides a flat floor, which Kia has used to maximise usable interior space and flexibility.
While the basic architecture is shared with the commercial model, Kia has deliberately given Passenger versions a more upmarket cabin.
Available equipment includes ambient lighting, enclosed storage and a centre console that can double as a table when the vehicle is stationary.
Passengers get rear climate control, while available power sliding doors should make repeated boarding easier. There are also fast charging 100W USB-C charging connections.
Kia has even moved the front passenger airbag into the roof, freeing up additional dashboard storage space, whil the front of the cabin features 12.9-inch and 14.6-inch displays, along with Kia's new Pleos Connect system which runs on Android Automotive OS.
The system supports connected navigation, configurable displays, over-the-air updates and an app marketplace containing both Kia and third-party applications.
There's also Gleo AI, an artificial intelligence-powered voice assistant designed to provide natural-language control of functions including navigation, messaging and vehicle settings.
The Passenger will share the Cargo model's 71.5kWh and 96.2kWh battery options. Maximum power is 200kW with 420Nm of torque, driving the front wheels. An all-wheel-drive PV7 is planned for later.
The 800V electrical architecture also enables extremely rapid DC charging, with Kia targeting a 10-80% recharge in the mid-20-minute range using a 350kW charger, although that figure remains subject to confirmation.
