Polish Post has taken delivery of the first four MAN TGE cash-in-transit vans as part of a major order for more than 230 amoured vehicles for secure transport of cash and valuables.

The handover ceremony took place in the glitzy surrounds of the Rozalin Palace near Warsaw last week, and marks the start of one of the largest specialist light commercial vehicle projects ever undertaken by MAN Truck & Bus Polska.

The vehicles are being supplied through a consortium comprising MAN Truck & Bus Polska and specialist conversion partner Inter Play. Together, the two companies have developed a solution tailored to the demanding requirements of the valuables transport sector.

The order is part of a wider fleet modernisation programme at Polish Post, which operates one of the country’s largest logistics and transport networks. Once complete, the fleet will support cash and valuables transport operations across Poland.

The first vehicles delivered are based on the MAN TGE and have been extensively modified to meet the stringent security standards required for cash-in-transit work.

Among the specialist features are ballistic protection systems, bullet-resistant glazing, integrated surveillance technology and run-flat tyres, enabling the vehicles to continue operating even after sustaining tyre damage. The design has been developed to maximise protection for both crew members and the valuables being transported.

According to Polish Post, the investment is intended to improve operational efficiency while raising safety standards across its transport operations.

Sławomir Żurawski, deputy president of the management board for operations at Polish Post, said: “Taking delivery of the first MAN TGE cash-in-transit vehicles represents an important milestone in the modernization of our valuables transport fleet.

“We are making targeted investments in solutions that enhance security, operational efficiency, and the working comfort of our teams. The order for 230 vehicles will enable us to provide our services even more efficiently nationwide.”

For MAN, the agreement represents a significant fleet success in a highly specialised market segment where vehicle durability, reliability and security are critical purchasing factors.

The project also highlights the flexibility of the MAN TGE platform, which continues to find applications far beyond traditional delivery and service sectors through specialist conversions and bespoke body builds.

Friedrich Baumann, member of the executive board of MAN Truck & Bus responsible for sales and customer solutions, said the order demonstrates confidence in both the vehicle and the companies involved in the project.

“The decision by Polish Post in favor of the MAN TGE is a clear vote of confidence in our product and our partners,” he said.

“At the same time, it underlines the importance of the Polish market for MAN. Our vehicles offer exactly what is required in this sector: a high level of safety, reliability, and functionality – combined with excellent driving comfort.”

As deliveries continue, the fleet of more than 230 vehicles will become one of the largest dedicated cash-in-transit operations based on the MAN TGE platform, further strengthening the model’s presence in specialist commercial vehicle applications across Europe.
