Pricing and more detailed specification for the Mercedes-Benz eVito has been announced.
The fully electric medium-sized van will have a starting price of £43,600 and will be powered by a 66kWh battery and most importantly will get rapid charging which will allow it to be topped up to 80% capacity in 35 minutes when using an 80kW charger.
The Mercedes eVito will have a range of up to 162 miles – according to its combined WLTP figures.
Power for the eVito comes from an 85kW electric motor which produces 116hp and 360Nm of torque.
Plated as a 3.2-tonne van, the eVito has a maximum payload of up to 807 kg and a maximum load volume of 6.6 cubic metres.

Charging from a 11kW wall box will take up to 6.5 hours or as long as 20 hours if using a regular domestic power outlet. Mercedes, though, is offering its eVito customers several home charging offers through its partners EO and New Motion.
The new eVito is available in two trim options with the standard Progressive trim which includes air conditioning, a Comfort driver’s seat with heating, a reversing camera, and entertainment system with DAB radio and smartphone mirroring with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The new Premium trim option adds metallic paint with colour-coded bumpers, 17-inch, aerodynamically-optimised light alloy wheels, a chrome grille and a leather-covered steering wheel.
The range-topping model also gets parking sensors, front fog lights, electrically-folding door mirrors and lumbar support for the seat.
Additional options can be added with any of four new packages with a Load Area Package, Technology Package Plus, Comfort Package Plus and Driver Assistance Package.

Deliveries will start in March with the Prices £ 43,600 entry-price being for the eVito L2 Progressive model. The prices excludes VAT as well as the government grant which at the time of writing was worth £5,000.
