Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has launched a new Amarok Dark Label Special Edition, adding a blacked-out appearance and additional equipment to its V6 diesel pick-up.
Prices for the Amarok Dark Label start from £47,870 excluding VAT with order books opening today for the 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine producing 240PS and 600Nm of torque.
Power is sent through a 10-speed automatic transmission, with Volkswagen’s always-on 4Motion all-wheel-drive system and a locking rear differential fitted as standard.
The Dark Label is distinguished by an extensive range of gloss-black exterior details, including the roof rails, rear styling bars, side steps, door mirrors, bumpers and door handles.

Volkswagen has also given the front of the pick-up a black X-style fascia, grille insert and skid plate, while a new set of 20-inch alloy wheels receives a matte-black finish.
Buyers can choose between metallic black, blue or grey paint, with all three colours included in the price.
The black theme continues inside with ArtVelours microfleece seats, while standard equipment includes a 10-inch digital instrument display and 12-inch infotainment touchscreen. There's also a factory-fitted load liner and sliding load cover.
Despite the more lifestyle-focused appearance, the Amarok Dark Label retains its commercial vehicle credentials with a payload of more than 1,000kg. That means the Dark Label remains above the one-tonne payload threshold traditionally associated with double-cab pick-ups for reclaiming the VAT.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is also launching the model with a Contract Hire offer starting from £439 per month, subject to the terms of the finance agreement.
