Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has introduced a new trim level, the Volkswagen California Surf, to its Volkswagen Transporter 6.1 model range.
Priced from £68,234 the California Surf offers essential features that make camping trips with the family comfortable and easy.
It sits between the Beach Tour and Ocean trims and includes a gas hob with two burners, a stainless steel sink with a removable washing-up bowl, and heated front seats. The California Surf can comfortably sleep a family of four, thanks to its loft bed and convertible back-seat bench that folds out into a bed for two.
The vehicle is powered by a 2.0 TDI 150PS seven-speed engine with direct-shift gearbox (DSG) and features 16-inch Clayton alloy wheels. It is also fitted with the latest technology and connectivity systems, including 3-zone climatronic climate control and an 8-inch ‘Ready to Discover’ infotainment system, with 8 loudspeakers, bluetooth hands free and wireless App-Connect.
Driver and safety assistance systems, such as Crosswind Assist, are standard across the California range, while available extras will include Adaptive Cruise Control and Trailer Assist as well as a rear parking camera and traffic sign recognition system.
The range offers flexible seating options, with a choice of between four and seven seats, depending on the chosen trim.
The Beach Camper, California Beach Tour and Ocean trims complete the California range, each with their unique features to suit different needs.
