VW Grand California updated for 2027 with new Dune edition

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has opened UK order books for the updated 2027 Grand California, with a revised interior, an optional off-grid package and a new Dune Special Edition.

Prices for the standard Grand California now start from £68,960 excluding VAT, a £1,000 reduction according to Volkswagen.

Inside, the updated camper gets Atami Bamboo trim and a matching wood-effect floor, together with additional storage and a new fold-out table. Buyers can also specify an Off-Grid Package, which adds solar panels and two 40Ah LiFePO4 batteries. Volkswagen says the battery upgrade provides 40% more usable capacity.

Joining the regular model is the Grand California Dune Special Edition. Priced from £69,960 excluding VAT, it costs £1,000 more than the standard version and gets Ascot Grey paint, black grained bumpers, 17-inch Lismore black alloy wheels and Dune decals.

The Dune also adds Climatronic air conditioning, ambient lighting and LED headlights with automatic headlight control and separate LED daytime running lights.

Volkswagen is offering finance from £499 per month for the standard Grand California and £529 per month for the Dune under its Solutions Personal Contract Plan, subject to the usual terms.

Both versions also come with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ 5+ Promise package, covering servicing, MOTs, warranty and roadside assistance for up to five years under the scheme’s terms.
