The Kia PV5 Passenger will be available in two different sizes with a five seater at launch and a seven seater later on.
Both vans will be based on the same wheelbase length, with the PV5 Passenger coming with a wheelbase length of 3m (2,995mm) for all models.
The longer van, the 7-seat version of the PV5 passenger will instead get an increased overhang at the rear to make room for the extra occupants. That will make the long-wheelbase PV5 Passenger 200mm (20cm) longer than the five seat car.
The Kia PV5 Passenger length is 4.5m for the standard L1 van, and 4.7m for the L2 van. This is the overall length to the nearest metre.
Looking at the numbers a bit more closely, the Kia PV5 Passenger 5-seat L1 (short wheelbase) car has a total length of 4495mm, while the longer wheelbase Kia PV5 Passenger 7-seat L2 (long wheelbase) will be 4695mm.
The Kia PV5 Passenger height is 1.9m, but there’s a slight variation you need to be aware of.
The passenger version of the PV5 measures 1,923mm with an antenna or 1,899mm without an antenna. That’s an important differentiation if you’re staring at a 1.9m height restriction. Unless you’re prepared to let some air out of the tyres, we’d be inclined to not risk it with or without an aerial.
The PV5 Passenger only comes in one width - which won’t be a surprise you anyone.
Just as important as overall length is the access to the car. The PV5 will also be made as a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle, the Kia PV5 WAV.
The door opening sizes are the critical part of the Kia PV5 WAV dimensions, and also useful for PV5 Passenger buyers.
The PV5 Passenger rear door opening appears to be 840mm at its narrowest point, while higher up the gap increases to the same as the width between the wheelarches. That’s a rear door opening width of 1345mm at its widest point.

The Kia PV5 Passenger Long seven seater van has a modest increase in overall length over the five seater.
Despite not being an actual long-wheelbase model, as all the additional length comes from the rear overhang, it’s likely that it will still be known as the PV5 Passenger LWB or seven seater by many people. It gets an increased length of 4,695mm compared to the standard length PV5 passenger van, and has a width of 1,900mm and a height of 1,900mm.
Like the shorter version, it is also based on a wheelbase of 3,000mm.
