Electric van manufacturer Farizon has confirmed it will add a new model to its line-up from early next year.

The Farizon V7E will become the second model in the electric van range from the Geely-owned Chinese van manufacturer.

The V7E is a medium-sized van with a load volume of up to 7m3, and will sit below the larger Farizon SV in the current range.

Launched in China earlier this year, payload capacity for the domestic van is up to 1.3 tonnes with a maximum loadspace length of 3.26m.

Current specifications show that the V7E gets a 51.4kWh battery, with a claimed driving range of up to 286 miles (460km) and the ability to rapid charge from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes. However, the exact specification of the vans coming to the UK won’t be known until Q1 2026.

“The V7E will be brought to market next year in this country,” Calum James, general manager of Farizon UK said at the opening of Farizon’s new London HQ.

“We are building our brand, starting with the SV, concentrating on getting that right and proving our concepts to fleet customers before widening the portfolio too quickly,” James added.

Farizon UK, has just officially inaugurated its flagship dealership in Park Royal, London, on the A406 North Circular near the Hangar Lane Gyratory. The new site will serve as both a Farizon dealership and the national headquarters for the brand and Jameel Motors, the distributor in the UK.

“We are really open [to expanding the range], we are not stopping and I'm pretty pleased with what is coming because it's going to fall into more segments,” explains Jasmmine Wong, CEO Jameel Motors.

“It's not just this SV van that we have right now, there will be more coming that will expand the market,” Wong explained.

The V7E will not be the only model added to the Farizon range. The SV line-up will expand in 2027 with a chassis cab version of the large electric van and there will also be further iterations of the new van. This will then be followed by an all-new model in 2028 for the car-derived van segment.

Van Reviewer previously reported that Farizon will follow the SV with a new smaller van, identifying the similar V6E as the new model.

While similar in its dimensions and carrying capacity, the V7E is a more modern model initially unveiled as a passenger van.

The V7E, when it arrives in the UK, will therefore likely have upgraded levels of equipment, technology and safety systems compared to the more commercial V6E variant.

Wong also didn't rule out the possibility of Farizon entering the heavy truck segment.

As the commercial vehicle arm of Geely, Farizon Auto has truck and bus models on sale in China, which Wong didn't rule out making an appearance in Europe.

“As a distributor we're supposed to represent them on the full range of up-and-coming product, we're not just getting a narrow segment,” Wong said.

“The conversation is never about you cannot, the conversation is ‘yes, you can’ but at which point and with what you need. They will work on the homologation process, safety requirement for the market and we have to work on making it into right-hand drive and getting the certification. [When the time is right] it's not going to take a couple of years, it will be 12 months. In fact, depending on the changes we can have it within six to eight months,” she added.
