New look MAN TGE dashboard revealed ahead of launch

October 16, 2023

MAN Truck & Bus has revealed a significant update to the dash and interior of the MAN TGE.

Based on the Volkswagen Crafter, MAN says it will set new benchmarks in safety and driver comfort within the large van segment.

Aptly named the "Next Level," the upgraded MAN TGE introduces a host of cutting-edge features, marking a significant milestone in the van's evolution.

The first MAN TGE Next Level models are scheduled to roll off the production line in May 2024, promising an elevated level of comfort and sophistication for drivers.

At the heart of the comfort enhancements is the redesigned dashboard, featuring a state-of-the-art digital instrument display. A focal point of the interior is the expansive display that controls vehicle functions and hosts the MAN Media Van infotainment system. The 10.4-inch MAN Media Van display includes standard functions like DAB+, MAN Connect, App Connect, and MAN SmartLink for seamless smartphone integration.

Further enhancements to the MAN Media Van system include the MAN Media Van Navigation and MAN Media Van Navigation Business, introducing advanced features such as voice control, web radio, media streaming, and Alexa integration, with the Business version boasting a generous 12.9-inch diagonal screen.

The revamped ergonomic multifunction steering wheel takes center stage, now equipped with an integrated shift lever on the steering column for automatic transmissions, an electronic parking brake, and the convenient Keyless Go function. These additions are designed to enhance both the effectiveness and enjoyment of the driver's daily routine, complemented by thoughtful details like cup holders, storage compartments, and a cell phone compartment featuring inductive charging.

A fully digital instrument display of the MAN TGE Next Level is customisable, offering various designs to cater to individual preferences. The central MAN Media Van touch display serves as the standard interface to vehicle functions, establishing itself as the information center of the MAN TGE Next Level.

The MAN TGE van also gets a new generation of control units, sensors, and cameras, coupled with a fundamentally renewed E/E architecture. This innovation paves the way for a remarkable development in assistance and safety systems, introducing entirely new features and enhancements.

The MAN TGE Next Level will include standard equipment such as Traffic Sign Information, Active Lane Guard System, Fatigue Detection, and Parking Assist, contributing to increased safety for both occupants and fellow road users.
