A van version of the Suzuki Jimny has officially been revealed with full specification and pricing for the new Suzuki Jimny LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle).
Rumours of a Suzuki Jimny van first emerged in late 2019 before being officially confirmed in mid-2020. Now the Jimny LCV has got a UK price and will be limited to just 400 units this year.
The Suzuki Jimny van is powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol engine as the passenger car, producing 100hp and 130Nm of toque and is almost identical in every way with the exception of it being a two-seater, rather than a four-seater, with a 863-litre (0.86 cubic metres) cargo area, completely flat floor and part-mesh and solid steel bulkhead.
The Jimny commercial will have a payload of 150kg.

Just one trim level is available on the Jimny LCV but it includes air conditioning, DAB radio, Dual Sensor Brake Support, unique 15-inch Black steel wheels and cruise control with speed limiter.
The Jimny LCV has an ALLGRIP PRO selectable 4WD system with low transfer gear as well as three-link rigid axle suspension off a ladder frame chassis and will be priced at £16,796 (ex VAT) for the Suzuki Jimny 1.5 Light Commercial ALL Grip with 5-speed manual gearbox.
Orders can be placed through your local Suzuki dealer and contrary to reports and rumours there is no centralised waiting list – you will, however, have to act quick to get one.
Payload for the Suzuki Jimny van is limited to just 150kg. Despite it having a gross vehicle weight of 1,435kg with a kerbweight of just 1,090kg the Jimny LCV’s maximum weight carrying ability is limited by the constraints of the rear axle.
The space normally occupied by the rear seats is now replaced by a completely flat floor enabling lengths of up to 916mm to be carried. It has a volume of 863-litres or 0.86 cubic metres, which is a slight increase over the 820-litres that could be transported by the passenger car with the seats folded flat.
The Suzuki Jimny van has a maximum towing capacity of 1,300kg for a braked trailer and 350kg for an unbraked trailer.
Official figures for the Suzuki Jimny van on the WLTP test cycle show that it is capable of 36.7mpg on the combined test cycle and has an average CO2 emissions rating of 173g/km.
The Suzuki Jimny LCV measures just 3,480mm in length but is 3,645mm long if you include the spare wheel mounted on the back door. It has a width of 1,645mm and an overall height of 1,720mm.
The Jimny is renowned for its off-roading abilities and the van is no exception. The Suzuki Jimny van has a 210mm ground clearance, 37-degree approach angle, 49-degree departure angle and a 28-degree ramp breakover angle.
