Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has revealed a refreshed version of its popular Caddy, introducing a redesigned interior and updated exterior facelift. There's also a host of technology upgrades and a new special edition trim level.
Although the Caddy’s familiar silhouette remains intact, the latest updates focus on improving everyday usability and bringing the model’s technology closer into line with Volkswagen’s newest vans.

The most significant changes are found inside the cabin. Dominating the new dashboard is a free-standing 12.9-inch infotainment display, replacing the more integrated setup of the outgoing model. Volkswagen says the larger screen features a revised menu structure and customisable touch controls, allowing quicker access to frequently used functions.
The cockpit has also been modernised with the Digital Cockpit Pro now fitted as standard across the entire range. The digital instrument cluster can be configured to display different information layouts depending on driver preference.
Volkswagen has addressed one of the biggest criticisms of previous infotainment systems by introducing illuminated touch sliders for climate control adjustments. The controls sit beneath the central display and are designed to improve usability during night-time driving.
Practicality has also been enhanced. A new wireless smartphone charging tray is now capable of delivering up to 25W of charging power, while front USB-C connections have been upgraded to provide up to 60W per socket. A further USB-C port, replacing the previous optional 12V socket, is now standard on the dashboard.

The interior refresh extends beyond technology though, with new seat upholstery designs, trim finishes and improved cabin details, which are said to help create a more premium environment.
Passenger-focused additions include grab handles on all B-pillars and integrated coat hooks to improve day-to-day usability for families and shuttle operators.
On the outside Volkswagen has opted for a subtle facelift with the Caddy now getting a revised front apron available in either painted or grained plastic finishes. There's also new alloy wheel designs ranging from 16- to 18-inches.
Four new metallic paint finishes join the range with Reed Green, Sunset Red, Grenadilla Black and Grey-Brown.
Volkswagen says the updated Caddy will continue to be offered in its broad range of body styles and configurations, including Cargo, passenger car, Flexible and California variants, as well as standard and Maxi wheelbase versions.

To mark the launch, Volkswagen is introducing a new Generation special edition model. Based on the Life specification, the model adds a number of popular option packs as standard, including Design, Winter and Driver Assistance packages, along with roof rails and a rear-view camera.
The updated Caddy forms part of a wider refresh across Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ line-up, which includes recent revisions to the Caravelle (previously known as Multivan) and the California.
With a larger digital interface, enhanced connectivity and improved day-to-day functionality, Volkswagen is positioning the latest Caddy as a more premium and technologically advanced offering for both commercial operators and private buyers.
