
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has launched a new enhanced telematics system called Connect Pro aimed at optimising fleets in real time.
Connect Pro is for fleet managers to help them optimise their fleets in real time, reducing costs, and minimising risks. It enables real-time visibility across a van fleet for fleet managers with live vehicle location, route history, average fuel consumption and state of charge details.
The system can also send any vehicle maintenance demands as well as warning messages and combines online appointment booking with the customer’s preferred dealer. It also delivers Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates to the vans.
VW says the customisable digital Connect Pro platform allows greater operational control and reduces the need to visit a Van Centre, thereby minimising driver downtime. It's also available to fleets of any size on all Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles models from 2021.

Volkswagen recently announced its top dealers in the UK, naming Sinclair Van Centre Swansea as its Gold Award top performing van centre.
