Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is expanding its Transporter line-up with the introduction of a new top-of-the-range Sportline variant.
The new range-topping VW Transporter model will be joined by a new Commerce Pro S trim aimed at design-focused fleet and owner-operator customers.
The new Transporter Sportline is the top model in the range, adding to more than 20 years of Sportline vans, and a long-awaited addition to the range to further differentiate it from the Ford Transit Custom on which it is based.

Available on both Panel Van and Kombi body styles, Sportline vans get exterior upgrades including bespoke front and rear bumpers, a rear spoiler, gloss black grille and mirror caps, roof rails, side skirts and a 29mm lowered suspension.
There's also exclusive 19-inch dual-finish alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlights and the Sportline’s signature red grille details.
Inside the Transporter Sportline it sgets "gains "hand-crafted eco-leather" sports seats with red stitching, a heated leather steering wheel, Sportline floor mats and illuminated metal scuff plates.
Additional features include footwell lighting, high-gloss black display surrounds, illuminated sun visors and a driver-focused cabin layout.

Standard equipment also includes Keyless Access with Safelock, Area View camera and the usual package of driver assistance systems.
Prices for the Transporter Sportline will start from £62,752 for a short wheelbase panel van and £63,796 for long wheelbase, while the Kombi pricing starts at £65,128 (SWB) and £66,172 (LWB).
Order books open for the Transporter Sportline in April, with first deliveries expected in May.

But that's not the only new addition, because to commemorate the Volkswagen Bus’s 75th anniversary, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is also launching a limited-run Transporter Sportline 75 Special Edition.
Just 75 individually numbered examples will be produced, finished in exclusive Moss Green paint and featuring bespoke green contrast stitching, Sportline 75 mirror caps and unique interior detailing.
Prices start from £64,552 for the panel van and £66,928 for the Kombi, with customer registrations opening shortly.
We haven't forgotten the new Commerce Pro S trim either.
Commerce Pro S adds gloss black 17in alloy wheels, a body-coloured front splitter, rear spoiler, black grille detailing, angular side bars and black mirror caps.
Commerce Pro S pricing starts from £53,086 for the SWB panel van and £54,130 for the LWB, with Kombi versions priced from £54,742 (SWB) and £55,786 (LWB).
Orders for the Transporter Commerce Pro S will open in late February, with first deliveries due in April.
Both Sportline and Commerce Pro S models will be offered with diesel, eHybrid and all-electric powertrains.
They'll also get Volkswagen’s 5+ Promise at no extra cost, giving them five years’ warranty, roadside assistance, three services and three MOTs.
The Transporter Sportline is an upgrade on all fronts, adding new design elements both inside and out, the Transporter dimensions remain the same, but it does get new lowered suspension (-29mm) to help enhance the dynamic on-road feel of the van.
