Off-road extremists Arctic Trucks revealed its latest creation, a go-anywhere version of the Toyota Land Cruiser.
The Land Cruiser 250/Prado AT37 has been developed in collaboration between Arctic Trucks’ Icelandic and UK divisions, along with Toyota Africa distributor CFAO.
Based on the Toyota Land Cruiser 250/Prado, the AT37 gets significant modifications including a bespoke 2-way adjustable performance suspension system developed with Dakar-winning specialists R53 Suspension.
This system, featuring large diameter monotube dampers and R53’s OptiFlow technology, provides increased travel and a 40mm lift.
The AT37 rides on 37-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 or Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tyres and is mounted on new retro-inspired “Heritage” alloy wheels with a dual-valve design.
To accommodate the larger tyres, Arctic Trucks has reprofiled the Land Cruiser’s frame, body, and drivetrain, widening the track and extending the wheelbase.
Ground clearance has been improved and a new lower centre of gravity improves on-road handling and off-road capability.
Other enhancements include extended profile side steps, distinctive Arctic Trucks badging, unique interior trims, and premium AT interior mats.
The signature widebody flared wheelarches incorporate a central tyre inflation system.
The Land Cruiser 250/Prado AT37 will be available as an official dealership-supplied version or direct customer conversion in Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Africa.
Deliveries of the AT37 Land Cruiser are expected in Q2 2025.
Last year, Isuzu has teased pick-up truck fans with a show version of a Isuzu D-Max AT37 pick-up truck.
Like the Prado, the heavily modified show truck from Arctic Trucks builds on the success of the D-Max AT35 with an even higher ride height and more extreme looks.
The AT37 gets 37” BFGoodrich KM3 Mud-Terrain tyres, along with an advanced 10-position adjustable Arctic Trucks Bilstein performance suspension system. Overall it is 140mm taller than the standard D-Max range.
Isuzu has yet to launch the AT37 as an official model.
