Citroën has unveiled a new special edition, the Citroen Berlingo XTR, which is even more car-like and rugged.
The new model Berlingo XTR gets a distinctive design which includes a car-style bumper as well as underbody protection. These new additions not only give it a more robust appearance but also provides added protection for daily work.
The new Citroen Berlingo trim is instantly recognisable thanks to exclusive XTR badging. The new van will be available in three colours; Ice White, Steel Grey, and Libeccio Blue.
Along with the bumpers, the new van gets 16-inch alloy wheels and glossy black door handles.

There's a choice of three different powertrains for the Berlingo XTR, all of which are based on the 1.5-litre diesel engine. It is available with either 102hp and a 6-speed manual gearbox, a more powerful 131hp version paired to an 8-speed automatic or a fully electric van model producing 136 hp.
Despite the engine choices, there is just one Berlingo dimension available with only the M size van available.
XTR trim already exists as an option on the Citroen Berlingo passenger van.
Inside, the special edition gets all the equipment you would expect including a a 10-inch infotainment system, a two-zone automatic climate control system, and Citroën's Advanced Comfort seats.
The loadspace also gets Citroen's clever Extenso folding seat layout, where the passenger seat can be folded down to extend the vehicle's load capacity and overall load length.
The Berlingo XTR also comes with a host of safety and convenience packages as standard including blind spot assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a 180 degree rear view camera. There's also automatic rain and light sensor and a plastic protective floor for the cargo area.
Prices are only available in Euros at the moment, and there's no word as to whether UK models will be available yet, but Citroën has priced the new Berlingo XTR to offer a significant saving. The price increases by €2,500 over the standard model but there's a total saving of €1,000 compared to adding the features individually.
Price for the 102 hp diesel model will start from €25,800, while the electric XTR is priced at €33,050.
