At a launch event that blended automotive pazz-az, and with a touch of star power thanks to a special appearance from Ewan McGregor, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has upped its electric van game by reviving the spirit of the original VW Bus in a fully-electric package.
Taking its design cues from the iconic Type 2 Microbus while embracing cutting-edge EV technology, the ID Buzz and its commercial counterpart the ID Buzz Cargo represent a new chapter for both private owners and light-commercial fleets.
These zero-emission models aren’t just about nostalgia, though, they bring practicality, digital sophistication, and genuine everyday usability to life with flexible interiors and all-electric range that ushers in a fresh generation of sustainable transport for VW.
