Is Kia about to add to its van line-up already?

November 12, 2025

Kia is gearing up for a big debut at France's biggest commercial vehicle show, Solutrans 2025 in Lyon, where it will show the first of its new van range for the first time at the show, but and it looks like the Korean brand isn’t slowing down when it comes to its PBV (Purpose-Built Vehicle) ambitions.

A teaser posted by president and CEO of Kia Europe, Marc Hedrich has confirmed that the company will showcase its PV5 Cargo and PV5 Passenger vans as well as a brand-new PBV variant making its world premiere at the event.

Described as being “ready for business and real working conditions,” the mysterious new model could mark another step in Kia’s push to deliver a complete light commercial vehicle line-up. Kia has already announced that it will follow the launch of the PV5 with a Kia PV7 and Kia PV9.

A chassis cab version of the PV5 has also been spotted testing in South Korea, and Kia has previously stated that it would be building van conversion in-house at its production facility. Is the teaser a clue that we might see the platform version of the PV5 in Lyon?

Also on display at the show, will be the Guinness World Records breaking van, driven by Van Reviewer to an astonishing 694km on a single charge with a full payload. You can read more about the record breaking efforts in our full story on the Kia PV5 Guinness World Records attempt.

Visitors to the Kia stand (Hall 5, Booth C130) will also get to explore the brand’s “Business Ecosystem,” covering flexible PBV solutions, seamless charging, and connected driving experiences.
