The latest version of Isuzu's most extreme pick-up truck is now back on sale in the UK priced from £57,005.

The new Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 was first unveiled at the Commercial Vehicle Show earlier this year, having undergone the usual pimping by Icelandic specialists Arctic Trucks.

Based on the latest Isuzu D-Max, the AT35 gets more than 60 hours of expert re-engineering, including strengthening the chassis and reprofiling the bodywork to accommodate its upgrades.

The most noticeable changes are the huge 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tyres and a custom-developed Bilstein performance suspension system.

The truck gets a 40mm lift in ride height due to the tyre and suspension combo, and a wider, more aggressive stance, thanks to distinctive flared wheel arches.

Despite its rugged focus, Isuzu says the vehicle retains its full commercial credentials. It is still capable of towing up to 3.5 tonnes and carrying a payload of over one tonne, meaning it qualifies as a commercial vehicle for pick-up truck tax purposes.

It's the same Arctic Truck makeover undergone by the previous version, however, it uses the newest D-Max as its donor vehicle, which means there are a few improvements.

The AT35 is powered by Isuzu's 1.9-litre turbo diesel engine and is available exclusively with a six-speed automatic transmission. It comes equipped with a shift-on-the-fly four-wheel-drive system and a locking rear differential for maximum traction in difficult off-road conditions.

Inside, the cabin features leather upholstery, heated front seats, and dual-zone climate control. Technology has been updated to include a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-speaker sound system and wireless phone charging.

The vehicle is also fitted with Isuzu’s range of advanced driver safety aids, which now includes intelligent adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic braking, and a traffic jam assist function.

The new Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 is available to order now through selected dealers.
