Isuzu revamps Arctic Trucks D-Max with new AT35 pick-up

April 30, 2025

Isuzu UK has updated its maddest pick-up truck, the Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35.

The new AT35 is built on the recently revamped D-Max platform adding to the off-road capabilities of the flared-wheelarched off-roader.

Developed in collaboration with Arctic Trucks, who are known for their extreme makeovers to allow pick-up trucks to tackle the harshest conditions, the new AT35 gets the same enhancements as the previous generation but used the new platform D-Max that includes Rough Terrain Mode for better grip in defined conditions like snow, mud and on wet grass.

Power comes from a 1.9-litre turbo diesel engine, producing 360Nm of torque. There’s the trademark Arctic Trucks appearance with wide side steps, new wheel arches, roof railes and AT35 badging. The new model is also marginally higher up than the previous model with custom Arctic Trucks Bilstein suspension giving it a 35-degree approach angle, 34 degree breakover angle and 22 degree ramp angle.

As the name alludes to, the AT35 gets 35-inch all-terrain tyres, while on the inside there’s leather heated front seats, dual zone air conditioning, a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also an 8-speaer sound system and 7-inch driver display.

The AT35 is also a proper commercial vehicle when it comes to tax purposes, unlike its closest rival the Ford Ranger Raptor.

That means it gets a payload of more than 1 tonne, as well as a 3.5-tonne towing capacity.

Safety systems include all the expected Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) you find in the new Isuzu D-Max range.

There’s Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Turn Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and Attention Assist.

It also has eight airbags and built-in emergency call functionality.

Prices start at £57,005 which makes it marginally cheaper than the £57,360 Ford Ranger Raptor with the 2-litre diesel engine, and nearly £4k less expensive than the Raptor V6 petrol model. Order books are already open.
