Kia has revealed the pricing for the new PV5 Passenger, the people mover based on its new van.
Entry-level pricing for the Kia PV5 Passenger in Essential trim and with the ‘standard range’ 51.5kWh battery will start at £32,995. The larger size 71.2kWh battery price has yet to be revealed, but the Kia PV5 Cargo price for the larger battery is £2500 more for the bigger battery model.
It will be available in two trim levels, Essential and Plus - the price increase for the two being around £1000 for the commercial vehicle. However, the Plus trim on the PV5 Passenger includes several more options than its van sibling.
Obvious parallels are drawn between the PV5 Passenger and the Volkswagen ID Buzz. However, the Kia PV5 Passenger undercuts its competitor by half, with a five-seat ID Buzz in Life trim cost £59,195. That’s for a 79kWh battery and in a van that is actually larger than Kia.
The PV5 Passenger will launch as a five-seater, with a luggage capacity of 1,320-litres, which increases to 2,315 litres with the second row seats folded flat.
Pre-orders will start on 1 May 2025, with first UK customer deliveries expected in late 2025.
Due to the PV5 dimensions, which will also see a long-wheelbase model added, a seven-seat PV5 Passenger variant will be available at a later date.
