MAN adds new factory-built van versions

July 20, 2025

MAN Truck & Bus has announced new additions to its van range with two direct from the factory conversions.

Available as part of its "One Invoice" business offering, MAN have now added a new three-way tipper and box body version. The additions bring the total number of ex-works body solutions to 13.

Built on the MAN TGE chassis, the expansion means customers can now order assembled vehicles covered by MAN warranties directly from a single source, streamlining the build process and invoicing.

MAN chassis trailer

A new, and unusual, addition to the range is the BE-Combi semi-trailer combination, a Luton Van looking box body that pairs a MAN TGE with a 3.5-tonne trailer.

The body manufacturer BE-Combi converts the TGE into a tractor unit, adding a subframe, fifth wheel, air supply unit, and an intelligent braking system. The trailer component is BE-Combi's 3500PLUS single-axle trailer, featuring a lightweight box from Junge, a tail lift, and a roof spoiler.

This combination has a gross combination weight of seven tonnes which means it has a significant payload of 2,650kg as well as a load volume of up to 28 cubic metres.

The massive dimensions make it capable of accommodating ten Euro pallets, but more importantly drivers only require a B+E driving licence - that's car plus trailer - eliminating the need for a Class C licence. This makes it a viable alternative to a traditional 7.5-tonne truck.

Also added to the lineup is the TRIGENIUS three-way tipper from Meiller.

MAN tipper

Constructed from Hardox steel, the tipper achieves a high payload through advanced manufacturing techniques, including laser welding of thin, high-strength steels.

When combined with a 3.5-tonne GVW MAN TGE, it gets a payload of up to 951 kg, increasing to 2,600kg for a 5.5-tonne TGE.

The TRIGENIUS features new one-tonne lashing eyelets on the side walls for securing overhanging goods, and two-tonne floor lashing eyelets that are easily accessible from both inside and outside. Meiller has also refined the side wall closures, risings, and fenders for improved functionality.

New certified van partners

In conjunction with these new offerings, MAN has launched the "Certified Van Partner Program," a new initiative designed to ensure quality with body and conversion manufacturers.

The programme establishes a clear quality framework for partners, aiming to guarantee the integrity and variety of bespoke vehicle solutions built on the MAN TGE platform.

Roy Tietze, head of van bodybuilder management at MAN Truck & Bus, said: "As a truck manufacturer, we have established a close relationship with the body manufacturers for decades. With the Certified Van Partner Program, we are now creating a reliable basis for quality, efficiency and trust – to the benefit of our van customers and partners."
