Maxus has launched the eDeliver 75, a new 7.5 tonne electric truck, which will kick start a revamp of its existing product line-up.
The Maxus eDeliver 75 was first shown at the IAA in Hannover in 2022, but has been completely overhauled with a new cabin and safety systems that will be fully compliant with incoming GSR2 regulations.
It will join the existing Maxus range which include the Maxus eTerron 9 pickup truck, Maxus eDeliver 9 large van and diesel models including the Maxus T60.
The eDeliver 75 chassis cab gets a 120kWh battery supplied by CATL with a claimed range of 155 miles, and two ePTO options of 15kW or 100kW.
Power comes from a 150kW electric motor with peak torque of 440Nm. The claimed WLTP range of 155 miles is based off an expected consumption rate of 43-57kWh per 100km.
The light truck will support both AC and DC charging with speeds of up to 120kW using a rapid DC supply where a 20% to 80% charge will take around 30 minutes. AC charging is supported at both 22kW and 11kW, where a 5% to 100% charge is said to take 11hrs and 6.8hrs respectively.Â
There’s also a Vehicle-To-Load (V2L) power supply of 6.6kW to enable equipment to be run off the vehicle’s battery.
There will be two wheelbase lengths of 3.8m or 4.5m, and without a it has a kerb weight of 3010kg, leaving a payload allowance of 4480kg with a towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes and gross train weight of 11 tonnes. Measuring up to 8m in length, with a height of 2313mm and 2145mm width, the eDeliver 75 can have a body of up to 6.8m with a 4.3m height.
Production vehicles will be available next year with Maxus targeting the parcel and home delivery network. Prices are expected to be around £70,000 for the entry-level model, with the possibility of larger battery size options also being explored for the future.
