Citroen has revealed a new model in its line-up, with the introduction of the new Citroen ë-C3 Van.
The Citroen E-C3 Van will be based on the Plus specification of the new ë-C3, however, it's missing on important detail... the rear seats.
New ë-C3 Van models will get a full-height mesh and solid bulkhead instead, as well as a mid-height load cover to keep prying eyes off your valuables.
It gets a 300kg payload, not bad for a small electric van, and will have an overall load volume of 1.2m3 or 730 litres for anything stored under the load cover.
The Citroen E-C3 Van’s will be able to accomoate load lengths of up to 1.2m long, and items that are 1m wide (at floor level).
Citroen says the new E-C3 electric van will have ultra-low running costs, making it ideal for the city.
Not much has changed for the E-C3 Van when compared to the passenger car. It gets the same seats and Advanced Comfort suspension with progressive hydraulic cushions.
The Plus trim level also means that there is a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There's also a Citroen Head-Up Display, LED headlights, cruise control and rear parking sensors.
Steel wheels are standard, but they're pretty big for a little van with the E-C3 Van fitted with 17-inch steel wheels with wheel trims. This should mean that were you to kerb your wheels they'll be nice and cheap to get looking fresh again.
Range will be up to 200 miles thanks to a 44kWh battery, but there's also the ability to charge from 20-80% in around 26 minutes if you're using a 100kW DC rapid charger.
Order books are already open for the New Citroen ë-C3 Van, which is priced from £22,437 OTR. Factoring in the current £2,500 Plug-in Van Grant discount, that means you can pick up a new electric C3 van for under £20k. Or £19,937 after Plug-in Van Grant, if you're being specific.
Citroen now offers three electric commercial vehicles with starting prices under £30,000.
That's because the ë-C3 Van will line-up between the very entry-level My Ami Cargo Kit solution designed for the Citroen Ami - Citroen no longer sell a dedicated Citroen Ami Cargo - as well as the Citroen E-Berlingo Van.
