Is the Farizon SV the cleanest van on the market? It’s makers certainly think so, thanks to a development process that is focused on cutting emissions and reducing waste.

Built from the ground up as large electric van, the Farizon SV uses 10% recycled materials in its construction, while 85% of its components can be recycled at the end of life and 95% are recoverable.

The use of high-strength steel and hybrid aluminium-steel materials in the chassis and body, along with a drive-by-wire platform, cuts overall vehicle weight by 8%, improving energy efficiency and range, according to its makers Geely Automotive.

At the heart of Farizon Auto’s environmental push is its Xiangtan manufacturing facility in Hunan, China, which is said to be a global benchmark for carbon-neutral vehicle production.

The factory runs entirely on renewable energy, mainly solar and wind, with on-site generation covering more than 40% of its power needs. Its closed-loop water system reduces freshwater consumption by 75%, while AI-optimised logistics cut related emissions by 30%.

Every van built at Xiangtan has its carbon footprint digitally tracked across its lifecycle, aligning with EU Green Deal goals and circular economy standards. More than 95% of production waste is recycled, paint shops use water-based coatings with near-zero VOC emissions, and interior components are made from ocean-recycled plastics and certified organic fabrics, reducing virgin material use by half.

Farizon also enforces a Green Partner Certification for its Tier One suppliers, requiring ISO 14001 compliance and carbon disclosure. More than 60% of components are sourced locally within 500km, while electric trucks handle inbound logistics to minimise transport emissions.

Cook Xue, CEO of Farizon Auto International Company, said: “Environmental considerations are rightly key for both large fleet operators and individual tradespeople when deciding which all-electric van is right for them. We’ve worked hard to ensure the new Farizon SV features sustainability at its core, from its localised supply chain to its efficient performance on the road.”

Farizon’s attempts at carbon-neutral production and efficiency, may well set a new standard for sustainable electric van production, making the SV amongst the greenest vans on sale.
