Midlands-based timber merchant, Main Line Timber, has expanded its fleet with a new 3.5-tonne Isuzu N35.125 Grafter.
The vehicle, acquired from local dealer RH Commercial Vehicles, will primarily serve the company's recently opened Warwick depot.
Main Line Timber, a family-run business established in 1991, has relied on Isuzu vehicles since its inception. This latest addition joins a 7.5-tonne rigid truck and several other 3.5-tonne Grafters already in operation.
The Grafter's compact dimensions and maneuverability were key factors in its selection, making it ideal for deliveries in tight urban areas. The vehicle is fitted with a dropside body from PD Stevens and Sons, for more efficient loading and unloading of various timber products.
"We continue to choose Isuzu because they are reliable, durable, and versatile," said Emily Gascoigne, Head of Sales and Marketing for Main Line Timber. "We appreciate the Grafter's driver-friendly design, its impressive payload capacity, and the improved safety and efficiency it brings to deliveries in challenging locations."
The acquisition marks a continued partnership between Main Line Timber and RH Commercial Vehicles, which became an Isuzu Truck UK dealer in 2020.
"We've always had great support from Isuzu, but having a local dealer like RH Commercial has been invaluable," Gascoigne added. "Their team is responsive and understands our business needs, ensuring we get the right vehicles at the right time."
The new Grafter comes with Isuzu’s three-year unlimited mileage warranty, including 24/7 roadside assistance, access to the Isuzu Truck UK dealer network, and support from its dedicated customer care team. It will operate within a 30-mile radius of the Warwick site, completing two to three delivery routes daily, Monday to Friday, and is expected to remain in service for up to seven years.
Main Line Timber supplies a wide range of timber products, including fencing, gates, decking, sleepers, and arches, from its three locations near Daventry, Rugby, and Warwick, serving customers throughout the Midlands and surrounding regions.
