Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has released the first official pictures of the updated Caddy van.
The 2026 VW Caddy gets a new-look front end, fresh paint options and new alloy wheel designs, along with a substantial interior overhaul which Volkswagen has yet to reveal.
The Caddy remains a key model for Volkswagen who have sold more than 500,000 examples of the current fifth-generation with more than 110,000 deliveries in 2025 alone.
Across all generations, almost 2.9m Caddy vans have now been built since the nameplate’s modern era began in 2003.
The facelift sharpens up the front end with a redesigned bumper that will be available in different finishes depending on trim. There's a new range of exterior colours and new design 16-inch to 18-inch alloy wheels.
Underneath, the Caddy remains unchanged with petrol, diesel and eHybrid options all continuing. The plug-in hybrid has a range of more than 620km and up to 122km of electric-only driving.
Models still include cargo and passenger versions, with standard and Maxi wheelbase lengths and there are basic specification, Edition, Life and Style trims. There's also a Caddy California camper.
A facelift hasn't meant a change in practicalit, with passenger versions still able to seat between five and seven people, while the Caddy Cargo Maxi has a load volume of 3.1m3 and depending on model and drivetrain a towing capacity of up to 1,500kg.

The bigger news, howerve, may still be to come, as inside VW says the updated Caddy will get “comprehensive changes” to the cabin, including a larger freestanding central display.
That suggests next generation model, due out later this year, will bring the Caddy’s dashboard more closely into line with newer Volkswagen passenger and commercial models, like the revamped interior of the Volkswagen Crafter.

Full details are being held back until pre-sales open in the middle of the year when the new Caddy will be offered with an optional five-year manufacturer warranty.
New vans will continue to be produced in Poznań, Poland.
