Stellantis opens new parts centre at Ellesmere Port

Stellantis Parts Warehouse
July 28, 2025

Stellantis UK has officially opened its new, state-of-the-art Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) in Ellesmere Port.

This significant development marks the first time all Stellantis UK parts operations have been consolidated under one roof, strategically located on the site of the former shipping yard for the adjacent electric van factory.

This integration further solidifies Ellesmere Port's role as a vital hub for Stellantis's electric vehicle strategy in the UK.

Following a multi-million-pound investment, the 60,000sqm facility, equivalent in size to approximately nine football pitches, has become fully operational this year. It houses around 140,000 different types of parts, stacked up to 14m high, and will supply components for 10 Stellantis brands across the UK and Ireland.

The PDC is designed to enhance aftersales service, offering improved UK coverage and aiming for next-working-day delivery to nearly 1,000 repair sites through 19 regional Distrigo hubs.

This new centre is expected to deliver approximately 4 million parts annually.

The opening of the PDC has also allowed Stellantis UK to in-source business previously handled by a third-party warehouse, streamlining its parts operation.

The new PDC is overseen by Diane Miller, who has transitioned into the role of Stellantis UK Parts Distribution Centre Manager.

Miller previously served as Plant Director at Ellesmere Port, where she was instrumental in leading the plant's successful transformation to electric vehicle production, earning her recognition at the Autocar Great Women Awards 2024. She succeeds Jamie Craig, who has retired after 43 years of service with the company, having played a key role in the creation of the new PDC.

Fernando Andreu has been appointed as the new Ellesmere Port & Luton Plant Director. Andreu will oversee the introduction of the Stellantis medium electric van range (eK0) to Ellesmere Port, part of a £50m investment to create an all-electric, sustainable UK Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) hub.

This will complement the existing production of small electric LCVs (eK9), which began in September 2023 following a £100 million transformation of Ellesmere Port into the UK’s first EV-only volume manufacturing facility.

The PDC itself has been designed with sustainability as a core principle, becoming the first UK warehouse to achieve outstanding BREEAM accreditation. Key sustainability measures include rainwater harvesting, sophisticated wastewater treatment, 32 electric vehicle charging points in the employee car park, and LED lighting throughout the building.

Furthermore, the global OTIF (On Time in Full) system is employed to maximise the volume of parts on trucks, resulting in a 60% reduction in return truck journeys since the PDC's opening.

The Ellesmere Port PDC currently employs 234 staff members operating across two shifts, five days a week, and has already achieved the highest customer satisfaction rating among all Stellantis warehouses globally.
