First Hydrogen unveils new zero emission van

April 5, 2023

First Hydrogen has revealed the first images of its new Generation II LCV zero emission vehicle.

First Hydrogen has partnered with EDAG Group to develop a next-generation zero-emission light commercial vehicle (LCV) that can be powered by either a fuel cell electric or battery electric drivetrain.

The Generation II LCV has been designed with function as the primary consideration and features a modern, minimalist look.

The LCV is designed to enable high levels of driver comfort, efficient operation, and zero emissions, making it ideal for use in built-up areas, urban landscapes, and for delivery and service vehicles that need to stop at the roadside.

First Hydrogen is not only developing its Generation II concept for zero-emission commercial vehicles but also testing its Generation I vehicles with major UK fleet operators, including Rivus, as part of the UK Aggregated Hydrogen Freight Consortium.

The trials will enable potential customers and influencers to experience the benefits of hydrogen powertrains across a range of industry sectors, including parcel delivery, grocery, utilities, healthcare, and roadside assistance.

First Hydrogen will use the data and feedback collected during the trial to optimize the performance of the Generation I vehicles and inform the development of future products, ensuring that their Generation II series will support different operational duty cycles and fulfill the demand for electric vans.
