Kia has expanded its PV5 Passenger range with the introduction of a new seven-seat variant.

The new seven-seater builds on the existing five-seat PV5 Passenger model, introducing a three-row cabin layout that significantly increases passenger-carrying flexibility while retaining the practical benefits of Kia’s dedicated electric vehicle architecture.

The new variant gets a novel 2-2-3 seating configuration, which provides easier access to the third row and allows all occupants to benefit from generous personal space. Kia says the flat-floor E-GMP.S platform enables class-leading interior dimensions, with up to 1,041mm of legroom, 1,076mm of headroom and 1,732mm of shoulder room.

Access has also been carefully considered, with a low 399mm step-in height and wide sliding side doors helping passengers enter and exit the vehicle more easily.

Despite adding an extra row of seats, the seven-seat model offers 318 litres of luggage space behind the third row, increasing to 785 litres when the rear seats are folded.

Power comes from Kia’s Long Range 71.2kWh battery, delivering a WLTP range of more than 390km.

Rapid charging capability of up to 150kW enables a 10-80% recharge in less than 30 minutes.

What is the Kia PV5 battery range size?

Like the wider PV5 range, the seven-seat model benefits from a front-mounted charging port and compatibility with Kia Charge’s extensive public charging network. Vehicle-to-Load functionality is also available on higher-specification models, allowing users to power external devices directly from the vehicle’s battery.

The new seven-seat variant arrives alongside a range of MY27 updates that improve driver comfort and usability. These include a height-adjustable armrest, Walk Away Lock functionality and a revised antenna design that helps keep overall vehicle height below 1.9 metres.

The launch also coincides with the introduction of a new flagship Elite grade, which adds powered sliding doors, ventilated seats, surround-view cameras and additional premium features.

Orders are expected to open alongside the updated MY27 range, with pricing and further UK-specific details to be confirmed.
