Hot on the heels of the launch of their medium and large electric van range, Farizon will follow-up with a second smaller electric model.

The Farizon V6E, already on sale in Chine by Farizon Auto, will be the basis for a follow-up smaller sized van, according to senior executives at the company.

Although executives from the Geely-owned subsidiary declined to give further details on the specifics of the new model, one senior figure let slip that the next model, set to arrive in Europe next year, will be based on an existing model currently on sale in the domestic Chinese market.

With only the Farizon SV and the Farizon V6E  (along with a passenger van/camper model which appears to be called V7E) available, the 2026 model is likely to be based on this much smaller model.

Farizon V6E side profile

Whereas the Farizon SV dimensions place it in both the medium electric van and large electric van segments, with a loadspace capacity ranging from 6.7m3 up to 13m3, the V6E has a 6m3 capacity.

It does, however, make some pretty bold claims, with a 1.5-tonne load capacity for the interal floor, and a rather mind-bending roof mass of 7.5 tonnes.

To quote the Farizon website: “The vehicle body adopts a cage structure and the roof can withstand a maximum pressure of 7.5T”.

Heroic strengths aside, it is claimed to have a range of 285km, one tonne payload and a 2.7 tonne gross vehicle weight.

Overall, it has a 4.85m length, 1.73m width and 1.98m height, while the loadspace will have a maximum 2.8m length, 1.6m at its widest point and internal height of 1.32m.

The Chinese market also appears to sell a version without a cargo compartment roof, and listed as the Standard model. It has a PVC floor cover, no roof, no wheel trims and no spare tyre. The V6E Premium option gets an aluminium floor, along with all of the missing bits from the Standard.

No further details are available at this time, but we can expect the Farizon V6E (or a version similar to it) to appear in European markets next year.

Additional models will also be added to the Farizon line-up with a new small van also joining the range in 2026.

The following year will see a chassis cab version of the SV arrive, and further iterations of the new van. This will then be followed by an all-new model in 2028 for the car-derived van segment.

No details have yet been given about the future models, but the Geely-owned new energy LCV brand has ambitions of a 5% market share in Europe by 2030, and according to Farizon International CEO Cook Xue, the "UK is one of our key markets".
