Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has announced the return of the Amarok Dark Label, an all-black special edition of its premium pick-up.
The new Amarok Dark Label comes with the standard 3-litre V6 TDI engine producing 237hp and 600Nm of torque. It's paired to a 10-speed automatic gearbox and has Volkswagen's 4MOTION all-wheel drive.

Customers can choose from three dark exterior finishes, Midnight Black metallic, Dark Grey metallic or Bright Blue metallic, each of which is complemented by distinctive matt-black details.
Other unique elements include black 20-inch alloy wheels, black underbody protection, radiator grille, roof rails, door handles, mirrors, side steps and tailgate handle.
The Dark Label look is finished with darkened tail lights, tinted windows, and a matt-black styling bar as well as with ‘Dark Label’ badging.

On the inside the Amarok Dark Label continues the dark and moody theme with black ArtVelours seats, Ebony Black headlining, a leather steering wheel with Dark Label insignia, and velour floor mats.
It gets the standard fully digital 12.3-inch driver display, a 12-inch infotainment screen found in all models in the Volkswagen Amarok range, which also has more than 25 driver-assistance systems for safety and security.
Despite its posh new all-black makeover, the Amarok Dark Label doesn't shy away from its working credentials. The Amarok payload is still more than one tonne and it has a maximum towing capacity of 3.35 tonnes.

The Dark Label joins the existing Amarok line-up alongside the Style, PanAmericana, and Aventura trims.
Prices in Germany start from €57,536 (around €68,468 including VAT), with the model offering LED Matrix headlights, an electric driver’s seat, and digital cockpit as standard.
There's no word on UK pricing yet, but we'll update this article when we find out - that's assuming the UK gets it, which assuming our love for pick-up trucks is highly likely. Although the pick-up truck segment is in steep decline following HMRC's pick-up truck tax changes.
