Citroen’s iconic Type H Van has returned as a new electric vehicle built on the large Relay van.

Loved by trendy mobile coffee and sandwich vendors throughout Europe, the Type H is one of Citroen’s most recognisable designs, and probably it’s most loved Citroen van, and now thanks to Caselani its back in the UK as an electric van.

Built under licence in the UK from Citroen, and imported by TypeH as distributor for Caselani, a complete range of Type H lookalike products has also been created.

There’s models based on the Citroen Relay, Citroen Dispatch and Citroen Berlingo, all of which can be transformed into alternative H Vans. There’s even a Citroen Ami version.

The original and best Type H is built using the Citroen E-Relay to give a WLTP range of up to 260 miles using a 110 kWh battery. Its capable of a 150kW fast charge and can transport a payload up to 1385Kg.

The Type H can be built in any of four Relay dimensions available with a load volume of up to 17m3. It can also be produced in a wide range of colours.

Citroen Ami models have also been created in a collaboration between Caselani’s designers and a team from the Citroën Style Centre.

The Type Ami version gets all the same styling and references to the iconic Citroën HY van but in the compact quadricycle.

Type Ami body kits are available from £5595 for unpainted panels.

The Type H is available as a new turnkey Electric Type H priced from £52,995 (+VAT) for the chassis cab or from £63,495 (+VAT) for the panel van.

The Type H kit can also be retrofitted to any existing Citroen relay van from 2019 onwards, but it’s not cheap with a price of £24,595 ex VAT.

Alternatively there are Diesel Type H vans available from £41,995 for the chassis or £51,995 for the panel van.
