Renault Trucks has announced the addition of three new electric LCVs to its product range based on the Flexis van range.
The new models aim to address the growing demands of urban distribution and logistics by offering new electric options built on a single skateboard chassis.
The new vans are a fully-electric and connected platform developed by electric van manufacturer Flexis SAS. They include a van, a modular chassis-cab, and a step-in van.
The picture above shows the Flexis models flanked on either side by the current Renault Trucks Master and the Renault Trucks Trafic van variants.
These vehicles will be integrated into the Renault Trucks E-Tech range, joining existing models such as the E-Tech Master and Trafic LCVs, as well as the E-Tech heavy-duty trucks and Kleuster cargo bikes.
The range of Flexis vans was revealed in late January, with the panel van set to be available in two wheelbase lengths with an overall height of 1.9m.
Overall the panel van dimensions position it in the medium van segment, where it was later confirmed by Renault passenger cars that the Flexis vans would be the next generation of electric Renault Trafic.
Renault followed up the Flexis announcement with the own reveal of the names for their range of the same vans. The new Renault Estafette, Goelette and Trafic will be new additions to the E-Tech electric van range.
Renault Trucks has now followed with its own images of the same vans (above).
Renault Trucks, a part of the Volvo Group, which is a founding member of Flexis SAS, has an existing network of 1,500 sales and service outlets which will be used to distribute the Flexis vans and provide maintenance to both Flexis and Renault customers.
Renault Trucks aims to provide support for its customers, including maintenance and repair services, Van Centres with extended hours, and 24/7 assistance.
The three new electric will make production by 2026 with all models due to be built in France, at the Sandouville plant, the current home of Trafic production.
